1991 was when Anderson Funeral Home in Romeoville was established to serve the Will County communities in the region. Immediately, the flexibility to serve any size service to families became a hallmark of what made this funeral home experience different. After acquiring property a few years prior to breaking ground in 2012, Rich and Marilyn Anderson expanded the services of Anderson Memorial Homes into the Crest Hill/Plainfield area, opening their doors to families in 2014. As families' desires and needs have changed over the years, building from the ground up offered many opportunities to enhance and improve the experience of planning, pre-planning, visitations and funeral services. Everything learned in two decades of service to the area was considered in creating and building the new facility, and the space within. Stated simply by Rich Anderson, "It was time to move beyond just ferns and curtains and create a comfortable, spacious space with more natural sunlight and open architecture to offer a more open and airy setting. We needed to create an environment that offered as many personal options to families as possible. And we did”
2019 brought the historic and beautiful Goodale Funeral Home into the family of Anderson Memorial Homes. In a picturesque, historical section of downtown Lockport, it exudes charm and elegance befitting its age and design for time-honored services. Practical updates have been made to meet current needs and requirements. The Beautiful Stained Mosaic Art Glass accents remain, and our special setting in the bucolic setting, just as Hamilton Avenue slopes upward and offers brilliant views of the Desplaines River.
